Michael Rajewski, Executive Director
Michael Rajewski has served as executive director of Sterling Presbyterian Manor since joining our team in February 2007. He spent the previous six years managing the Hutchinson branch of Home Healthcare Connection. Over his 30+ year career in health care, Michael has served as executive director of the Homestead Assisted Living Center of Hutchinson, director of operations for inpatient and outpatient centers at Wichita Dialysis, executive director of Horizon Specialty Hospital and Cherry Creek Village, administrator of Sandstone Heights, and director of therapeutic recreation at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. He has also served on the faculty of Phoenix University’s Wichita campus. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Hays State University and a master’s degree in management from Friends University. He is a certified home adult care administrator and is also a certified cardiopulmonary resuscitation instructor by American Heart Association. In addition to his current membership in Sterling Rotary Club, Michael is past grand knight in Knights of Columbus and past board chair of Prairie Independent Living Resource Center. He is a CPR instructor, member of Holy Cross Church-Hutchinson and a volunteer bus driver for Trinity Catholic High School in Hutchinson. He also volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels. The American College of Health Care Administrators named Michael a 2012 recipient of the ACHCA Facility Leadership Award.
Cindy Moore, Marketing Director/Senior Living Counselor
Cindy came to Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 2011 as administrative assistant and became marketing director in 2013. Before joining our team, she spent 12 years in customer service with Kroger, working the last four years as the scanning manager. She also has experience working as the office manager of the local newspaper. Cindy graduated from Cowley Community College with an associate’s degree in accounting clerk. Her volunteer activities include the Independence Day Freedom Run, youth baseball tournaments, and numerous hours at the Lyons Recreation Center.
Cheryl Davis, Human Resources Director
Cheryl joined Sterling Presbyterian Manor in April 2011 as human resource director. A Sterling native, Cheryl is happy to be residing in her hometown and living within walking distance of her office. She has worked for several area law firms and was administrative assistant to the vice president of advancement at Sterling College. Away from work, Cheryl enjoys reading and scrapbooking.
Christi Norman, Nurse Manager, Westwood
Christi joined Sterling Presbyterian Manor as a registered nurse, Eastwood Manager in 2011 after six years in nursing at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She began her career in nursing in 2004, taking certified nursing assistant classes at Hutchinson Community College. She continued her studies there, graduating as a licensed practical nurse in 2006 and receiving a nursing degree in 2009.
Karen Smith, Eastwood Unit Manager
A recent graduate of Friends University with a Masters in Healthcare Leadership, Karen Smith joined the staff at Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 2015. Initially she was hired as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. Since then her responsibilities have expanded to include being the Eastwood neighborhood manager and the nursing center MDS coordinator. Karen enjoys watching the old classic movies when she has a free moment and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Friends University.
Betsy Geddes, Health Services Director
A registered nurse since 1995, Betsy began in the field as a certified nursing assistant at Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 1990. Since then she has served as charge nurse and MDS (minimum data set) coordinator, unit manager and director of nursing in other communities. At Presbyerian Manor she was the nurse manager for Westwood until she was named health services director in early 2015. Betsy lives in the country between Nickerson and Hutchinson.
Peggy Peterson, Dining Services Director
Peggy first joined Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 1992 as a cook and served in that capacity for five years before leaving. She rejoined our team as dining services director in 2003. As a certified dietary manager, Peggy brings 16 years of dietary management experience to her position here. Her education includes Barton Community College. Among her outside activities, she enjoys cooking, knitting and taking care of her seven grandchildren.
Kendal Connor, Pastor
Kendal joined Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 2008. He was named Pastor of the Sterling Assembly of God Church in 2001, and was licensed by the Assemblies of God in 2002. At present he is working toward ordination. In 2012 Kendal was certified as a police chaplain. He currently serves with the Sterling Police Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska. His background includes 22 years of teaching experience.
Donna Grizzle, Activity Director
Donna joined Presbyterian Manor in 2013 as administrative services assistant and was named activity director in 2016. She has a passion for working with and advocating for seniors. Before joining our staff, Donna was the special events coordinator at Forsyth County Senior Services in Cumming, Ga, where coordinated many fundraisers and events. The largest was the 12th Annual Senior Exposition, which raised $16,000, just before she moved to Kansas. She has a master of science in conflict management and a bachelor of science in human services with a concentration in non-profit administration from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. Donna moved to Kansas to live closer to her brother, a Baptist minister, and his family. She is a member of First Baptist Church in Lyons.
Dallas Harman, Environment Services Director
Dallas Harman came to Sterling Presbyterian Manor in 2016 after serving as Special Projects Technician in Environment Services at Salina Presbyterian Manor for 3 years. Before working for the Presbyterian Manors of Mid America, he was assistant director at Menards Home Improvement Center. He also has experience with lawn maintenance and building new storage unit buildings. Dallas is a sports fanatic and enjoys sharing his sports knowledge with the residents who live at the manor.
