Manor Hatters are busy!

Manor Hatters are busy!

The Manor Hatters have been slowly brightening things up around Sterling Presbyterian Manor! In their first month as a group, they have hosted an ice cream social, gathered to watch the Kentucky Derby (all donning their derby appropriate hats and attire) and dressed up and watched the Royal Wedding! They never need an excuse to wear their new hats and embrace the confidence and sisterhood of what it means to be a Red Hat Society member, but these were fun opportunities!

This summer they hope to plan more events for fellow residents, including but not limited to transforming our chapel into virtual vehicles that take us on tours around the world, incorporating “dinner and a movie” to our monthly activities, hosting a potluck, providing a baby-back rib luncheon one way or another, and of course having more ice cream socials!

So far, in addition we have taken a cruise in the Bahamas, hiked the Alps in Switzerland, toured Salzburg, Austria, and visited Ireland. On our summer bucket list, we would like to tour Sweden, visit the monuments in Washington, D.C., ride the Amazon River, drive across the continental U.S. to visit famous dams, and hop across the tallest skyscrapers in the world.

Who knows where the wind will blow them, but for right now they are holding on to their hats and diving right in to the adventure!
